Biography:

Tricia Grace, while a Pittsburgh based dancer, grew up in Leechburg, PA. Tricia earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Slippery Rock University; having a concentration in performance and choreography. During her time at the university, she interned in three different venues and roles: first at the Now Next Dance intensive in Washington DC where she intensively enhanced her modern dance training and worked with a group of young outreach students; next at Slippery Rock high school, at this intern program Tricia implemented the school’s first ever dance education and curriculum; and for her final internship she traveled to the Indies of Cartagena, Colombia learning techniques indigenous of the afro-colombian people to bring back to Slippery Rock University’s students at an intensive summer program. Only days after graduating Tricia spent a week in Brooklyn, New York hired as work-study for Dante Brown’s Warehouse Dance company. She took daily classes with various New York professional artists and worked evening concerts doing crew and ticket sales. Tricia post graduation has been teaching advance modern and jazz courses at Just Dance by Justine Alberts and at Slippery Rock University as a guest artist teaching afro-colombian dance technique. She is working with Armstrong Community Theater choreographing the musical “Kiss Me Kate”. Tricia Grace works with two modern dance companies in the Pittsburgh area: Courdance under the direction of Kaitlyn Flynn and Murrdance under the direction of Heidi Murr.
