Tricia trained as a member of Afro Colombian Dance Ensemble for three years at Slippery Rock University. Afro Colombian Dance Ensemble is a traveling company that focuses on the rich and indigenous culture of Colombia. Tricia traveled to West Virginia, Millersville, East Stroudsburg, Youngstown, and Pittsburgh while she performed with the company.  During her final year in the company Tricia served at co-director of the ensemble and spent the summer of 2017 working as an intern for the company and studying in Cartegena, Colombia.

In the summer of 2015, Tricia studied Hula at the University of Hawai'i Moana through the Asia Pacific Dance Festival. Tricia received the Asia Pacific Dance Festival scholarship from the University of Hawai'i and the Lucy Issaco Sack summer studies scholarship from Slippery Rock University to attend this intensive festival. During her time in Hawai'i Tricia learned the history and practice of Hula as well as studying the Fijian Meke from Oceania Dance Theater and Modern/Folk dances from the Ballet Philippines.
